From the end of October to November 6, the sociological online service Center for the Study of Mass Electronic Consciousness (CIMES) conducted a survey of VKontakte users about which consumer brands they trust the most. Respondents listed mobile operators, financial institutions and insurers who earned the most trust with their work.
Trust rating for mobile operators
This is what the rating of mobile operators most trusted by users in 2016 looks like. In addition to residents of other countries, the survey involved 45 thousand Russians.
The winner of the current top 8 is the same as last year, and this is very flattering for MTS. Outside of VKontakte, the feedback on this operator is very different, from praises to completely negative ones. They praise it for fast Internet, good quality of communication, cheap tariffs and the widespread distribution of towers and offices, and scolded for imposing paid services, expensive roaming and not always competent and helpful staff.
The results of three other leaders of the mobile market: Tele2 operator improved its position, albeit by a tenth of a percent (17.7% compared to 17.3% in 2015), but user confidence in Megafon and Beeline operators decreased , which is why Megafon moved to third position.
If we take the distribution of the popularity of mobile operators by region, then the situation is as follows. In the Chelyabinsk region, Tele2 earned the greatest trust, in the Sverdlovsk Region - Motiv, which scored only 1% in the total result. The activity of Tele2, which is stubbornly trying to make the Big Three out of the Big Three, only benefits subscribers. But in Moscow, MTS failed to shift confidence from the pedestal, it has 28.2% of the vote. Beeline follows (22.2%), and Megafon (15.6%) on the third line. Tele2 scored only 13.8% of the vote in the capital.
Bank Confidence Rating
The places in the rating of trust in banks in 2016 (created on the basis of a survey of 12,590 people living in Russia) were distributed as follows.
In the foreseeable future, Sberbank is unlikely to lose the first line to its competitors. He also leads the reliability rating of banks in the Russian Federation according to official data from the Central Bank. Confidence in him is only growing from year to year. There are several explanations for this:
- the longest work in the banking services market of all Russian credit organizations;
- relatively low interest rates on mortgage and loan programs;
- many branches even in remote areas of the country;
- round-the-clock ATMs;
- the availability of an accessible and understandable online service and a bonus program;
- convenient service with electronic queue minimizing queues.
In 2015, 57.5% of respondents trusted Sberbank, and this year it is already 60.7%. Moreover, the residents of Chelyabinsk are most located towards Sberbank (73% of the vote), and least of all they trust it in the Novosibirsk Region (53%).
For which Sberbank is often blamed in customer reviews:
- when problems arise, it takes a long time to resolve them;
- employees do not always warn about all the intricacies of card maintenance;
- low interest rate on deposits, especially those that require only a thousand rubles to open. Profitable bank deposits in 2016 can be found in our rating;
- frequent malfunctions in ATMs.
The second and third numbers in the banking survey, as in the previous year, went to VTB (7.3%) and Alfa Bank (4.5%).
The most unpopular among the respondents was Unicredit, which is trusted by less than 1% of the polled VKontakte users.
Trust rating for insurance companies
Finally, insurance companies with the highest level of trust went to the third point in the CIMES survey. 17,463 Russians participated in this survey.
The opinion of respondents for the year remained unchanged and the leaders and outsiders of the rating did not change. But confidence in insurers has decreased. If in 2016 41.5% of respondents said that they were at a loss to name a brand from the insurance sector that they would trust, then last year this figure was 40%.
The leader of the list was Rosgosstrakh. This is the largest organization of the MTPL insurance companies included in the rating, according to such criteria as assets, scale, insurance reserves and premiums collected. Her strengths:
- presence in almost every Russian city;
- works in the market of 1992;
- free shipping policy.
Negative reviews are associated with long queues and difficulties in compulsory motor third-party liability insurance (in order to do this quickly and without problems it is necessary to additionally conclude a life insurance contract), small payments and long periods for considering cases.
The line below Rosgosstrakh is VTB Insurance, which is trusted by 6% of respondents. And in the top 3 leaders entered the company RESO-guarantee with 5.8% of the vote.
The lowest trust positions are with Ingosstrakh (4.1%) and Alfa Insurance (4.7%).
And 6% of respondents trust insurers that are not represented in the CIMES list.
